Job Summary:
Maintain production and building equipment through installation, repair, and preventative maintenance in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems on building and production equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment issues using electro-mechanical relay logic and PLC controls.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including tool cuts using maintenance shop machine tools.
- Keep accurate records and paperwork according to established procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, mechanics, and production personnel.
- Other duties as assigned, including adhering to safety, quality, customer, ISO, and SQF requirements.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent attendance and work history.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in Plastic Injection Molding desired.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic drawings.
- Ability to score 42 or higher on the Bennett Mechanical Test.
- Minimum 5+ years of mechanical work experience in a production environment.
- Own tools and forklift certification required.
- Ability to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work from elevated platforms and ladder lifts.
- Capable of physical mobility, including walking, sitting, bending, climbing, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds with lift assist device.
