Position Overview

The role entails overseeing the implementation of the installation project strategy, which includes managing equipment delivery and collaborating with various trades to ensure successful project completion while surpassing client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team by assigning tasks and monitoring their completion and quality.
  • Promptly address any changes, discrepancies, or coordination issues that may hinder installation activities by notifying the installation manager.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities, including training, team development, and negotiation skills, while effectively engaging with clients.
  • Assist in the installation of fire safety and other building systems products.
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals accurately.
  • Possess programming skills or prior experience with low voltage systems such as fire alarms, nurse call systems, access control, security, CCTV, and clocks.
  • Identify requests that fall outside the project scope and follow up with Requests for Information (RFIs) and proposed solutions.
  • Communicate project status effectively to management.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures among team members.
Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation and servicing of fire electronic and sprinkler systems or a comparable mechanical background.

Demonstrated experience in team leadership and project management.

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.

Proficient in reading and understanding construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications relevant to fire protection installation.

Familiarity with meeting code officials for personnel licensing, building permits, and discussing wiring methods.

Experience in coordinating project activities with other trades to enhance installation efficiency.

Proficient in using industry-related software, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Gantt Charts).

Able to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, as well as working in confined spaces.

Compensation

Hourly Wage Range:
$35-50 (The hourly rate will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.)
