About the Role

KBR is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to support the HawkeyeFlight program. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will report directly to the Software Development lead. You will be critical in leading the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will also be expected to design and develop high-quality software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write, code, and debug software applications for clients. Perform validation, testing, and code reviews for applications. Cross-collaborate with different functional area teams and vendors to fix technical issues. Support integration efforts and handoff of applications to the test team.
  • Work as a member of large team including other developers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and Project Manager interacting with related teams on new product development. Create responsive user interface from provided UX design concepts. Integrate with Commercial off-the-shelf software products and configuration of third party components. Able to deal comfortably with ambiguity in a change-driven development project.
  • Contribute to and improve documentation, configuration standards, and policies and procedures. Perform day-to-day sustainment duties as requested
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science or Arts (in lieu of a degree, 13 years of experience is required)
  • 7+ years of experience in a software developer capacity to include...
    • 7 years of software development experience using C#
    • UI development experience utilizing modern UI methodologies
    • Object Oriented Programming
    • Debugging and troubleshooting skills using Visual Studio IDE and other tools
    • Front End Technologies (7 years overall) with: CSS, React, Vue, Blazor or Angular
    • Back End Technologies (5 years overall) with: C#, Java
    • Database and Infrastructure (1-3 years overall) with: Docker containers, REST and API design
    • Other Technologies (1 year overall) with: Workflow Engine, Mobile development
  • Experience in aviation applications
  • PowerShell and Python scripting and automation
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Agile/Scrum development experience
  • .NET console application development
  • Peer-to-peer socket communication
