Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare professionals with examination and treatment of patients under their direction
  • Take vital signs, record patient information, and perform point-of-care testing
  • Administer immunizations, injections, and oral medications as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Manage patient care flow, set up exam rooms, and maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Engage in patient education, self-management teaching, and coordinate care with disease management programs
Requirements
  • Vocational or technical training as a Medical Assistant
  • Registered as a Certified Medical Assistant
  • BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Ability to travel between Care Centers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with coding and documentation for Medical Advantage and Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding
