Estimating Operations Manager

Swinerton is seeking an Estimating Operations Manager to oversee and enhance the estimating processes for various construction initiatives. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, coupled with substantial project engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project documentation and specifications
  • Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and assess material costs
  • Facilitate subcontractor solicitations
  • Evaluate labor and equipment expenditures
  • Process purchase requisitions
  • Compile a list of potential subcontractors for bidding
  • Engage in bid preparation and submission
  • Lead and mentor estimating personnel
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering
  • Proficient in interpreting specifications and technical drawings
  • Experience in estimating is preferred
  • Strong computer skills
