Job Title: Trailer Technician

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join our team at Dayton Freight. As a Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on our fleet of trailers, ensuring they are in top working condition.

**Responsibilities:**

* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including suspension and running gear components, landing gear assembly and components, and electrical and lighting systems.

* Conduct thorough Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs.

* Maintain a high level of welding and metal fabrication skills.

* Perform service calls and road tests vehicles to ensure quality repair services were performed.

* Assist and direct junior technicians.

* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA and company standards.

* Record all work and labor on a computer in the EMS system.

* Work with the Parts Department to ensure all necessary materials and parts are available.

**Requirements:**

* Possess a valid Driver's License.

* Basic math skills.

* Fluent in English.

* Legally eligible to work in the United States.

* Must be at least 18 years of age.

* Able to pass a drug screen.
