Electrical Systems Specialist

At AgReserves, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits and systems to identify and repair defects.
  • Assess electrical maintenance needs of equipment and implement a regular maintenance program.
  • Perform preventive maintenance functions on low and medium voltage electro-mechanical, PLC, and solid-state polyphase switchgear operations and voltage motors.
  • Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance functions on electro-mechanical based control systems.
  • Stay up-to-date on updates to the National Electrical Code and various regulations, practices, and industry standards governing installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team to reduce mechanical downtime and maximize uptime by identifying and prioritizing mechanical and electrical needs.
  • Ensure all safety devices and emergency shutdown procedures are functioning properly, including lockout-tagout procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and champion a best-in-class safety culture.
  • Maintain industry and trade-related training, licenses, and certifications required to perform the job effectively.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.
  • Oregon/Washington State Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician License or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician.
  • Solid working knowledge of processing plant electrical systems.
  • Understanding of 480v voltage motor operation and ability to perform preventive maintenance functions.
  • Computer proficiency in MS tools with ability to learn other programs/systems/software.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, schematics diagrams, and follow specifications.
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills; Spanish language ability a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • First-Aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to work long hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays, per company needs.
