Job Overview

POSITION: Facility Maintenance Specialist DEPARTMENT: Maintenance

REPORT TO: Church Administrator STATUS: Full Time

Mission Statement: Our personnel are integral to our mission. The role is to support the congregation, ministries, and visitors. Collaborating with the Maintenance Supervisor and Administrative Office, we collectively ensure the safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency of the premises and surrounding areas.

REQUIREMENTS: Reliable and dedicated individual. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, make informed decisions, and maintain environmental awareness. Minimum age of 18 years. Experience in institutional cleaning and possession of a valid driver's license is advantageous but not mandatory. Clearances for Child Abuse & FBI are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Oversee and uphold the cleanliness and safety of facilities and property.

B. Conduct daily cleaning of offices and communal spaces.

C. Perform floor maintenance across various surfaces.

D. Maintain the grounds, including occasional snow removal tasks.

E. Execute general repairs (e.g., bathroom fixtures, broken windows).

F. Provide occasional assistance to the catering ministry (set-up, transport, clean-up, breakdown).

G. Must be capable of lifting items up to 50 lbs. (e.g., paint buckets, cement bags, salt, small equipment, product deliveries).

Responsibilities may extend beyond those listed, depending on operational needs.
