Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a skilled professional in trading and investment operations support, with a strong enthusiasm for cryptocurrency and digital assets. You should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in middle or back office trading support within a financial institution, hedge fund, or administrative setting, and be eager to apply this expertise to enhance Galaxy's trading and investment operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive support for Galaxy Asset Management's trading and investment operations.
  • Engage in a fast-paced trading environment, collaborating daily with various business units (Trading, Operations, Finance, Risk, Client Service, Product Development, Engineering).
  • Oversee all elements of the trade lifecycle, including trade capture, settlement, and reporting across diverse asset classes.
  • Conduct daily trade, position, and cash reconciliations, addressing discrepancies as they arise.
  • Establish operational procedures and systems for newly launched strategies, ensuring thorough documentation, testing, and support.
  • Identify operational control weaknesses in current processes and propose enhancements.
  • Lead the onboarding of service providers, including trading counterparties, custodians, and banks.
  • Assist with operational due diligence questionnaires.
Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in middle office operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of the trade lifecycle for various financial instruments.
  • Experience in trade settlements, discrepancy resolution, and client servicing.
  • Familiarity with accounting and reconciliation systems.
  • Proactive individual with the capability to manage projects from inception to completion, and a strong drive for process optimization.
  • Detail-oriented with a robust work ethic and excellent communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • General understanding of digital assets and blockchain technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with derivative products, including futures and options.
  • Quantitative skills and experience in risk management.
  • Proficiency in programming (e.g., VBA, Python) and/or scripting.
