Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Technician to join our team at Giant Eagle Inc. As a key member of our food production team, you will play a critical role in preparing high-quality food products for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of food products using standardized recipes and methods, utilizing advanced cooking equipment such as Combi Ovens, CQC Wave Cooker, and Automated Grill and Fry Lines.
  • Inspect food ingredients and equipment to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
  • Coordinate and perform equipment and plant sanitation as needed, maintaining accurate production records and HACCP documentation.
  • Monitor quality and production costs, controlling waste and loss, and improving work efficiencies to meet federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Inspect and evaluate equipment requirements to ensure efficiency and safety, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in cooking, catering, or large volume batch cooking.
  • Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Certification or licensing in Food Safety desired.
  • Lifting requirement: up to 50 pounds.
  • Age requirement: at least 18 years old.
