Field Equipment Technician

Triad Service Center is seeking a skilled Field Equipment Installer to join our team. As a Field Equipment Installer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining a variety of light industrial equipment in the Birmingham, AL area.
Key Responsibilities- Install and maintain equipment, including restaurant grease containment units, checkout lanes, and bike/clothing racking.
- Utilize a company vehicle to travel regionally and ensure a valid, good-standing driver's license.
- Provide excellent customer service by performing planned installs and training on new equipment.
- Inspect, test, and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
- Install new or repaired parts, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, belts, and other parts of machinery.
- Record keeping and reporting of work orders, parts, supplies ordered.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and carpentry skills with the ability to follow schematics and written instructions.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Regularly spend the night at a location, with lodging and food expenses provided.
- Typically work Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and after-hour work possible.
