About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to execute field actions related to safety defects and noncompliance with federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement innovative technical approaches to process field action activities, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Collaborate with Hyundai groups to remedy safety issues, coordinating and launching field actions to customers.
  • Assist in the development of the Global Field Action Management System to handle all activities involving Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs).
  • Monitor field action completion rates and develop advanced outreach strategies to ensure completion rates.
  • Design and implement a suite of completion tracking tools to enhance process efficiency.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure part supply availability and establish fair share allocation of parts plans for each region.
  • Prepare materials for senior leaders to keep them informed of progress and challenges.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree a plus.
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience, including experience in conducting timely field action launches to address equipment failure modes.
  • Three or more years of experience in the automotive business, including vehicle safety, design, testing, field reliability evaluation, and service.
  • Automotive assembly plant or component manufacturing experience a plus.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Results-driven with excellent project and program management skills.
  • Ability to identify and utilize corporation expertise related to the issue under investigation.
  • Thorough automotive technical knowledge required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend federal regulations related to automotive safety.
  • Proficient in negotiating resources, timelines, and priorities to achieve project goals.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively with individuals.
