We are currently looking for a full-time para-transit driver to join our operations, ensuring safe and reliable transportation for our passengers.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Position Type: Full-time, with operations running 24/7.
  • Pay: $14.52 per hour with benefits or $19.00 per hour without benefits.

Requirements for Consideration:

  • Availability to work during scheduled operational hours.
  • A minimum of 3 years of driving experience; prior professional driving and transport experience is preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods during shifts, which typically last 8 hours but may vary based on operational needs.
  • Weight/Lifting: Occasionally required to lift and/or carry at least 20 lbs, with the ability to push or pull up to 150 lbs as necessary. Responsibilities may include assisting passengers in boarding and alighting from the vehicle, including those using wheelchairs or walkers.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • A clean driving record and successful background check.
  • Ability to pass a DOT drug test, DOT physical examination, and a criminal background check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transporting passengers to their destinations in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers.
  • Operating motorized lifts (training provided).
  • Maintaining the vehicle in a clean and safe condition.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Communicating effectively with both staff and passengers.
  • Exhibiting professionalism and respect towards clients of all backgrounds.
  • Understanding and adhering to driving laws, ordinances, and regulations.

Training:

  • Training hours will vary based on scheduled shifts.
  • Onsite training, uniform shirts, a vehicle, and radio communication will be provided.
