Position Overview:
Frolic Pet Services, a reputable local pet care provider, is looking for enthusiastic and committed animal lovers to become part of our dedicated team in the North Seattle area. Our company has been delivering exceptional pet care services since 2008, and we pride ourselves on our professional approach to pet care.
About the Role:
As a member of our team, you will engage in a variety of pet care tasks, including dog walking and pet sitting. We offer services every day of the week, ensuring that our clients receive the care they need year-round. Our Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters benefit from comprehensive training and ongoing support from our office staff, who will assist you in creating schedules and routes tailored to your availability.
Available Schedules:
This part-time role typically requires 10-20 hours per week, depending on client needs and staff availability. Flexibility is key, as hours may fluctuate based on demand. We are particularly interested in candidates who can work Monday to Friday during mornings and afternoons, as well as weekends and evenings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dog walking and pet sitting duties for regular and occasional clients, including feeding, walking, playing, and administering medication.
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to all pets entrusted to you.
- Maintain communication with the Frolic office and clients, providing updates and sharing photos of pets through our app.
- Report any changes regarding clients, pets, or instructions to the team.
- Monitor pets for any health or safety concerns, ensuring their well-being at all times.
- Additional responsibilities will be discussed during the interview process.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Have a smartphone with data capabilities for communication and navigation.
- Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, lifting, and managing pets of various sizes.
- Demonstrate patience, problem-solving skills, and a calm demeanor when interacting with pets.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow written instructions.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Friendly and professional in interactions with clients and colleagues.
- A genuine love for animals is essential.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay is $20-22 per hour, based on experience. You will also earn 60% of the fees for standalone services provided outside of regular schedules. We offer paid training, both online and in the field, and full-time team members may qualify for medical and other benefits after a waiting period.
Locations:
This position is primarily for the North Seattle area, but we have opportunities across various locations. Routes are organized for efficiency, and we have clients throughout the region.
