Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist Opportunity

The University of Kansas Hospital is seeking a skilled medical physicist to join its Department of Radiation Oncology at the Clinical Instructor/Assistant Professor level. This position will be primarily located at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS.
About the Role:
- This position will contribute to the delivery of high-quality cancer care services throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area with over 4,300 treatment courses annually.
- As a member of the Division of Medical Physics, you will work alongside 21 faculty medical physicists, 18 medical dosimetrists, 4 medical physics residents (2 PGY-1's and 2 PGY-2's), and 1 department-funded clinical research fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical expertise in treatment planning, dosimetry, and quality assurance/control.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies and techniques, such as Varian Eclipse/ARIA RTM v18.0 and IBA ProteusONE.
- Collaborate with researchers to advance knowledge in areas like FLASH therapy, proton therapy, and Monte-Carlo simulations.
- Pursue academic research opportunities through collaborations with the physics and engineering departments at the KU Lawrence campus.
