Stark Parks is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Wildlife Conservation Intern to join our team at the Wildlife Conservation Center. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in animal care and enrichment while furthering your education in wildlife rehabilitation.

About the Role
  • Care for education animals, including cleaning, diets, and enrichments, under close supervision.
  • Develop species-specific daily enrichment practices for education and rehabilitation animals.
  • Assist with general duties such as laundry, dishes, cage cleaning, equipment cleaning, etc.
  • Create and complete a project featuring a novel enrichment item and present findings on our website or social media.
  • Gain customer service, communication, listening, and leadership skills through interactions with visitors and staff.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in biology, pre-vet, zoology, conservation, or equivalent field.
  • Lower or upper-class students encouraged to apply.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • GPA of 3.00 or higher preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some experience in wildlife rehabilitation, veterinary care, or related field.
  • Ohio state certification in Wildlife Rehabilitation I preferred, not required.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive stipend of $10-$12 per hour, totaling $1,400-$1,680 for the 14-week internship. Additionally, interns will receive training and mentorship from experienced professionals in the field.
