Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Auditor to join our team at Canandaigua National Bank & Trust Co. As a Senior Financial Auditor, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties relating to the audit services function, coordinating work within the department as well as with other departments, and reporting pertinent information to the Audit Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Audits: Conduct thorough audits of financial statements, internal controls, and other financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with Teams: Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflow, and provide leadership and technical guidance to staff as necessary.
  • Report Findings: Analyze audit findings, determine exceptions, and discuss findings with appropriate personnel, and prepare audit reports that include procedures or policies in violation and recommendations for corrective action.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Assist with training and coaching of audit staff, and provide guidance on best practices and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an Audit Certification (e.g. CPA, CFSA, CBA, CIA).
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' audit experience in banking/financial services.
  • Skills: Possess knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, internal auditing standards, and risk assessment practices.
  • Compliance: Comprehension of all bank regulatory requirements, including FDICIA, COSO, and risk assessment practices.
