Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Senior Associate to join our team. As an Audit Senior Associate, you will play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day activities of our Real Estate and Affordable Housing Group, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate the day-to-day activities of our Real Estate and Affordable Housing Group, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up.
  2. Prepare financial statements with disclosures, applying most areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing, and assessing various control systems.
  3. Act as the client contact for basic questions and information and may be involved in reviews and agreed-upon procedure engagements.
  4. Complete all aspects of audit engagements for clients, including status updates to engagement managers and adhere to all quality control standards as required.
  5. Demonstrate understanding of the client's business, including analysis and planning of client engagements.
  6. Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within the time requested, explaining variances when needed.
  7. Achieve charge hour goals.
  8. Review associates' accounting, tax, or auditing work, providing constructive review points.
  9. May supervise associates on engagements.
  10. Train and mentor associate staff.
  11. May be involved in the client billing process by assisting managers or directors.
  12. Identify and begin to develop knowledge in selected specialty practices.
  13. Leverage industry knowledge and business acumen, blending cross-sell opportunities into client engagements.
  14. Participate in practice development activities, such as membership in qualified organizations capable of referring potential engagements.
  15. Execute administrative duties as assigned.
  16. Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA license, preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical abilities in select areas (audit, accounting, regulatory, compliance, etc.).
  • Multi-family, Real Estate, or Affordable Housing industry experience, preferred.
  • Presentation skills, mandatory.
  • Must possess analytical skills.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.
