Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Budget Analyst to join our team at North Coast Opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our program budgets, monitoring and evaluating current budgets, and preparing budget revisions. This role will also involve acting as a liaison between funders, fiscal staff, and program directors and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage program budgets, including preparing budget revisions and monitoring actual spending.
  • Collaborate with program directors and fiscal staff to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Provide high-level and detailed budget and financial reporting assistance to program directors and managers.
  • Stay up-to-date on funder and program compliance requirements.
  • Assist with invoicing and closeout reporting, and ensure initial grant and contract related documentation is completed fully and submitted.
Requirements
  • An associate's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of two years of accounting or budget management experience, with experience in grant or fund accounting and/or non-profits highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based systems, word processing, email, and spreadsheet programs, and the internet.
Working Conditions

The Budget Analyst will work in a fast-paced office environment, with regular interaction with outside agencies, vendors, funders, volunteers, donors, and contributors. The ability to travel during the day and/or night, sometimes long distance, is required.
