Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Manage patient check-in/out processes, including the collection of copays and coinsurance as instructed
  • Facilitate the collection of outstanding balances when necessary
  • Process referrals for new patients
  • Coordinate patient appointments and procedures
  • Arrange procedures at Ambulatory Surgery Centers and hospitals
  • Handle incoming calls and make necessary outbound calls
  • Monitor and respond to messages received via phone, fax, and email
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of insurance policies and verify patient eligibility
  • Secure insurance authorizations for office visits
  • Request referrals from primary care providers and perform additional duties as required
  • Conduct all End of Day operations related to front office tasks
  • Execute various administrative duties (copying, faxing, scanning, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the patient waiting area, examination rooms, and restrooms
  • Document and enter data into the patient's electronic health record (eClinicalWorks)
  • Accurately scan and index documents into the patient's electronic medical records
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations
  • Primarily work in the designated office location with occasional duties in other locations

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in a medical office environment, particularly in front office operations and scheduling, with the ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls while multitasking in a dynamic setting.

· Strong communication skills to interact effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, vendors, healthcare providers, colleagues, and regulatory bodies.

· Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

· Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

· Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is preferred, with a willingness to train suitable candidates.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

· Basic mathematical and spelling skills are essential.
