Position Overview:

The Ualand Student Accounts Office is eager to offer a valuable work experience for students keen on delving into the realms of business, finance, or accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

A student cashier undertakes various tasks with minimal oversight within the student accounts office. This role involves handling sensitive information, necessitating a commitment to confidentiality. It presents an excellent opportunity to acquire essential professional skills while pursuing academic goals. Applications are continuously accepted, and positions will be filled as necessary.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to accurately process moderately complex tuition and fee transactions across two computer systems, often under the pressure of customer demand.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Proficient business writing skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Understanding of privacy regulations.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt.
  • Familiarity with professional filing systems.

Preferred Experience:

Prior experience in cash handling is advantageous.

This is a part-time Student Assistant C position, offering $10.50 per hour for approximately 20 hours per week. All candidates must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 and be enrolled in at least 6 undergraduate or graduate credit hours during the academic year.
