Home Care Specialist

At American Hearts & Home Llc, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Care Specialist to join our team.
As a Home Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care to individuals in their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the overall well-being of our clients.
We are looking for an individual who is able to build strong rapport with clients, address their physical and emotional needs, and maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
Responsibilities:- Personal Care:
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal hygiene tasks.
- Provide assistance with toileting and incontinence care.
- Support mobility and transfers as needed.
- Medication Assistance:
- Administer medications as per prescribed schedules.
- Monitor and document medication intake.
- Communicate any changes in medication needs to healthcare professionals.
- Companionship:
- Engage in meaningful conversations and companionship.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement.
- Participate in activities to stimulate cognitive function.
- Meal Preparation and Nutrition:
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary requirements.
- Assist with feeding if necessary.
- Monitor and encourage adequate fluid intake.
- Household Support:
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and organizing.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Assist with laundry and other household chores.
- Monitoring Health and Reporting:
- Observe and report changes in the client's physical or mental health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of care activities.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Transportation:
- Ensure the safety and comfort of the client during travel.
- Respect for Dignity and Privacy:
- Respect the client's dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Uphold the client's independence and autonomy to the greatest extent possible.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or relevant caregiving certification preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to pass background checks and screenings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Primarily works in the client's home.
- May require flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $ $$45,000 - $60,000. This figure is based on national averages for similar positions and may vary depending on location and experience.
