Job Overview

Follett, a leading provider of educational content, products, and technologies, is seeking a skilled Merchandise Strategy Planner to join its team.

About the Role

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and executing financial and merchandise assortment plans for departments and stores. This will involve managing the Open-to-Buy process, identifying sales opportunities, and achieving sales with optimal inventory turns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly sales plans by department using corporate goals and strategies
  • Establish monthly markdown and receipt plans to support the monthly sales plan
  • Drive department goals to deliver financial components of sales, gross margin, and inventory turnover

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or retail
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning/allocation and/or buying
  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel
