Job Summary:

This is a highly skilled position that requires a high degree of precision and safety in the operation of large mobile equipment on and off barges, in soft fluid marsh soils, as well as on solid ground. The Mobile Equipment Operator 2- Heavy will report directly to a Maintenance Foreman and will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of mobile equipment in support of the Office of Wildlife's mission to provide wise stewardship of Louisiana's wildlife and associated habitats and increase wildlife conservation awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate and maintain large mobile equipment on and off barges, in soft fluid marsh soils, as well as on solid ground
* Ensure precision and safety in equipment operation
* Report directly to a Maintenance Foreman

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Valid driver's license
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions:

* Work will be performed in a variety of environments, including on and off barges, in soft fluid marsh soils, as well as on solid ground
* May be required to work in extreme weather conditions
