We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Correctional Officer to join our team at the Patten Probation Detention Center. As a Correctional Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our facility and the community we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce all institutional policies, rules, and regulations to maintain order and discipline within the facility.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to offenders during work assignments, meals, and recreation periods.
  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to prevent disturbances and escapes.
  • Respond to emergencies and take offenders into custody as needed.
  • Transport offenders to and from correctional facilities and other locations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Any combination of training and experience that enables the applicant to meet the minimum standards of the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T.).
