Key Responsibilities
- Conducts assessments and therapeutic interventions for individuals facing challenges with speech, language, cognitive functions, and swallowing, following physician directives.
- Performs thorough evaluations based on physician referrals utilizing suitable assessment tools and methodologies.
- Examines patient histories to understand current diagnoses, medical backgrounds, and any relevant precautions.
- Sets specific, measurable objectives and formulates treatment plans aimed at optimizing the patient's speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing capabilities.
- Regularly evaluates the effectiveness of treatment strategies, monitors patient progress, and adjusts goals or interventions as necessary.
- Communicates effectively with the treatment team, physicians, clients, and family members regarding patient needs and advancements.
- Collaborates with healthcare providers concerning patient evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge processes.
- Maintains accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and billing in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Adheres to the company's Code of Conduct, policies, and applicable laws while upholding professional standards.
- Participates in ongoing professional development and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid and unrestricted state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support or CPR in accordance with state regulations.
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in the field.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation methods for complex neurological conditions is essential.
- Exhibits strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
