Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated LPN Infection Preventionist to join our team at Life Care Center of Las Vegas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of infection prevention and control in our post-acute care facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the quality of resident care and outcomes related to Healthcare Acquired Infections (HAI) and Community Acquired Infections (CAI)
  • Collect, prepare, and analyze HAI data to inform infection prevention strategies
  • Present infection data and make recommendations for actions to improve infection control
  • Monitor associate compliance with infection control standards and provide education and training as needed
  • Serve as a resource to all departments and personnel on infection prevention and control practices
Requirements
  • Attended an accredited LPN program
  • Currently licensed/registered in applicable State and maintain an active LPN/LVN license in good standing
  • CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
  • Specialized IPC training beyond initial professional training or education prior to assuming the role
  • Prior experience with geriatrics preferred
  • Certifications or training per State requirements (e.g., Certified TB Nurse)
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working onsite at our physical facility. The successful candidate will be required to maintain a current knowledge of infection control trends, methodologies, and employee health practices.
