Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of the Inmate Management Services (IMS) team, you will provide critical support to the Virginia Correctional Facilities and jails, ensuring a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and research inmate records information in accordance with State, Federal, Local, and Departmental guidelines.
  • Provide accurate and timely responses to requests for inmate records information.
  • Collaborate with the Central Criminal Records team to ensure the creation, retention, organization, reproduction, and archiving of inmate records are accurately applied.
  • Support the IMS team in providing professional, timely, and sensitive support to the Virginia Correctional Facilities and jails.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, work independently, analyze, and resolve problems with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information and maintain accurate records.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with inmate records, Virginia CORIS, microfilm, and digital records resources.
  • Prior experience working in a records office.
