Description:

We understand that our clients have diverse needs, ranging from a softer security presence to a more visible security presence. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be part of a highly trained security team that supports critical facilities, public venues, and personal protective services.

You will receive training from our team of experienced firearms instructors in safe weapons handling and marksmanship. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you are an integral part of our broad spectrum of specialized security services.

Security personnel are certified and trained, and will be assigned a variety of standing, sitting, and walking posts.

Responsibilities:

  • Check people on/off City property and record pertinent information on City-approved forms
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities
  • Man the security booth to allow only authorized vehicles
  • Respond to emergencies or other disturbances that occur at or on property

Staffing Requirements:

  • Single guard per shift
  • Facility is 24/7, 365 days/year
  • Seven buildings on campus; patrolling required
  • Guards will make patrolling rounds and record patrols via 15 deggy points at preassigned locations

Qualifications:

  • Current guard card license as required by State or local law
  • May be required to perform emergency duties that require physical exertion, such as standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying objects up to 75 lbs., and running

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; possession of a college degree is highly desirable
  • Speak, read, and write English
  • Exemplary security skills and judgment
  • Above-average computer skills
