Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team in a picturesque coastal community in California. This role involves delivering comprehensive primary care to individuals and families across all age groups, emphasizing preventive care, health promotion, and effective disease management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to identify health needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to analyze results and make accurate diagnoses.
  • Prescribe and administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and specialized care to manage or prevent illness and injury.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing and splinting to provide comprehensive care.
  • Discuss procedures, test results, and treatment plans with patients to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Document patient findings, treatment plans, and follow-up notes in the electronic medical record to maintain accurate patient information.
  • Supervise and direct professional and ancillary staff in patient care to ensure high-quality service.
  • Stay updated on current medical practices and advancements to provide evidence-based care.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information to protect sensitive data.
Education & Certifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program to ensure expertise in family medicine.
  • Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner to demonstrate specialized knowledge and skills.
  • California State licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current DEA licensure to prescribe controlled substances.
  • BLS Certification to ensure life-saving skills.
Experience:
  • 3 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are also welcome to apply to develop their skills.
