Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to kitchen standards and expectations, utilizing sound judgment.
  • Efficiently manage guest orders with a friendly demeanor.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Learn essential culinary math and recipe conversions.
  • Read and follow recipes accurately.
  • Assist with various food preparation tasks, including cleaning and cutting produce, preparing soups and sauces, and slicing meats and cheeses.
  • Prepare mise en place as directed by the sous chef.
  • Follow established health and safety protocols.
  • Monitor food quality in terms of taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities.
  • Entry-level candidates with 0-2 years of cooking experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume restaurant and banquet kitchen setting.
  • Capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently.
  • Possession of a food handler certification is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Willingness to learn and apply basic culinary procedures, including FIFO, labeling, sanitation, and protein storage.

This position also includes eligibility for a sign-on bonus after a period of continuous employment.
