About the Role

The Electrical Supervisor is a key member of the Roseburg Forest Products team, responsible for overseeing the electrical department and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. As a seasoned professional with a strong background in electrical engineering and manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for leading a team of electrical technicians and ensuring that our equipment is running efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Supervise a team of electrical technicians and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects and tasks.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment, including control systems, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to production supervisors and other departments as needed.
  • Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, including scoping, planning, and execution.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in electrical engineering, manufacturing operations, or related field.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience with PLCs, HMIs, and control systems.
  • Certifications: Electrical license and other relevant certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical Supervisor Card
  • Prior Supervisory Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Experience in Wood Products Facilities
  • Computer Networking Experience
