We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Assistant (MSA) to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. **Salary:** $54,499 - $69,965 per year

**Job Description**

The Advanced MSA position serves as an Administrative Assistant and is a foundational role within GRECC. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with clinic access contingency plans by adjusting appointment times, location, or dates
  • Shifts patients to other healthcare providers as conflicts with staffing and/or coverage occur
  • Screens/receives phone calls in a courteous and timely manner, determines the nature of requests and provides the information desired using privacy rules and established clinic processes
  • Interprets and communicates requirements of VHA Scheduling Directives and completes accurate scheduling responsibilities

**Requirements**

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • US Citizenship is required
  • Must be proficient in basic written and spoken English
  • Must possess six (6) months experience of clerical, office, customer service or other administrative work that indicates the ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the Medical Support Assistant
