Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Chico's FAS. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a positive store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Store Manager in promoting a customer-focused sales culture and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Analyze sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs and execute in-store business and sales strategies.
  • Establish and communicate clear expectations, holding store teams accountable for achieving brand, performance, and behavior standards.
  • Control payroll and supply budgets, and perform basic operational activities such as scheduling, target shrink audits, and merchandise flow processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, loss prevention policies, operating procedures, and controls, and conduct associate training to reinforce proper controls.
  • Administer all operational processes, including inventory receipt/dispatch, daily replenishment of floor merchandise levels, and execution and preparation of physical inventories.
  • Develop a high-performance culture, motivating sales teams to meet assigned sales and productivity goals.
  • Train and coach store teams to ensure selling teams are fluent in all aspects of product knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of retail management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
  • Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
  • Proven excellent customer service skills with statistical track record in all areas of sales and leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities, training, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
  • Able to communicate with customers and staff.
Physical Requirements:
  • Constant walking/standing (8-hour shift).
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of 8-hour shift).
  • Frequent climbing (34%-66% of 8-hour shift).
