**About the Role**

Career Systems is seeking a motivated and experienced Career Readiness Coach to join our team. As a Career Readiness Coach, you will play a vital role in preparing students for career transition and ensuring their success in the job market.

Job Summary:

The Career Readiness Coach will be responsible for providing comprehensive career counseling and guidance to students, helping them navigate the transition from education to employment. This includes identifying their strengths, interests, and career goals, as well as providing resources and support to achieve their objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide career counseling and guidance to students, including identifying their strengths, interests, and career goals.
  • Develop and maintain a caseload of active student files, ensuring regular contact and follow-up to support their career development.
  • Conduct interviews with students entering the Career Transition Phase, providing re-orientation and further focus on job search techniques.
  • Create and maintain a resource center for support services, including linkages with military services, One Stop, and other external resources.
  • Initiate and maintain contact and cooperation with remote Career Transition Specialists for transition purposes.
  • Participate in individual or group counseling services in coordination with the Social Development Department and Mental Health Consultant, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field; or Associates Degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field and two years related experience.
  • Preferred: Minimum plus previous Job Corps experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of case management, career counseling, employment counseling, and job search techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license.

Salary: $24-$25/hr
