Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Mary Ann's Specialty Foods. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, repair, and upkeep of equipment and facilities to ensure operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance and repair of all equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
  • Develop and implement a preventative/predictive maintenance program, including regular inspections of all machines, equipment, and property.
  • Manage the requisition of tools, equipment, and supplies for maintenance staff within budget expectations.
  • Supervise, schedule, train, instruct, and monitor maintenance personnel to ensure all maintenance tasks and activities are completed efficiently.
  • Participate in and reinforce continuous improvement efforts, including food and physical safety programs.
  • Utilize company technology and research industry trends to improve maintenance processes.
  • Serve as liaison between production and maintenance departments, identifying and providing training in the use of equipment and trouble-shooting techniques.
  • Keep management apprised of all critical operations-related matters on a timely basis.
  • Analyze staffing needs to ensure the maintenance department is properly staffed with qualified individuals to meet business goals and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage vendor and external service providers, successfully negotiating contracts beneficial to the company.
  • Assist in analyzing, evaluating, and establishing plant layouts to ensure the most efficient operating conditions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical field preferred.
  • Five plus years of management experience in a complex, fast-paced food manufacturing environment, including familiarity with SQF systems.
  • Strong supervisory abilities, people management skills, with the ability to manage various teams and personnel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with varied audiences.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet various deadlines, and handle multiple, competing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to ensure all issues are resolved quickly.
  • Ability to understand the vision and culture of the organization and translate into specific actionable plans.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including managing databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and various other computer software.
