Role of the Educational Facilitator:

The Educational Facilitator may instruct specific courses and provide substitute teaching as needed. This role is designed to immerse you in the BASIS Charter School framework, equipping you for future teaching opportunities or other educational roles.

Facilitators play a crucial role in fostering a supportive school environment, addressing student needs, and collaborating with colleagues to uphold a culture of achievement.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is mandatory
  • Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Full-time availability is required
  • Willingness to undertake the NES Elementary Education Assessment, if applicable
  • Flexibility to consider assignments at various campuses
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in educational methodologies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering classroom instruction, both part-time and as a substitute
  • Supporting teachers with classroom management strategies
  • Providing academic assistance and tutoring to students
  • Assisting with educational events, laboratories, and assessments
  • Collaborating with educators to evaluate student progress
  • Proctoring examinations
  • Overseeing students during non-instructional periods
  • Facilitating study groups
  • Supporting school leadership in behavior management
  • Contributing to the execution of key educational programs
