MRI Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Highmark Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing prescribed MRI imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Positions patients and performs imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with the quality of imaging results.
- Enters, transmits, and reports scan results, ensuring accurate and timely communication with healthcare teams.
- Reviews patient history and physician's orders, educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition continually and reporting/responding to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepares equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implementing safety standards and performing quality control procedures on equipment.
- Associate's Degree or Certification from a technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Radiography Certification (R) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification and Registration (N) or Radiation Therapy Certification and Registration (RT) through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or any American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Certification through ARRT or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARMRIT) is required within 18 months of hire.
- CPR certification.
- Prior experience working as a MRI Technologist.
