Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing MRI imaging procedures with a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and perform MRI imaging procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Analyze imaging results and identify any issues with image quality, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results accurately and efficiently.
  • Review patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures and equipment as needed.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting any changes.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Radiography Certification (R) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification and Registration (N) or Radiation Therapy Certification and Registration (RT) through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or any American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Certification through ARRT or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARMRIT) within 18 months of hire.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working as a MRI Technologist.
