Position Overview:

Eaton's IS AER FED division is in search of a Continuous Improvement Specialist. This role is integral to the Plant Leadership Team, focusing on the Continuous Improvement initiatives within the organization.

The individual in this position will strategize, coordinate, and spearhead all Continuous Improvement efforts to align with business goals. This role is pivotal in advocating for enhancements in processes and cost reductions through the application of lean methodologies and Six Sigma principles.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide teams in assessing and refining processes to guarantee the delivery of superior quality products by employing EQS, ELSS, and other industry-leading practices.
  • Promote Factory-Cost Out initiatives through EBS, ELS, EQS, and various efficiency enhancement activities to maximize the utilization of both capital and human resources.
  • Implement strategies aimed at minimizing variation, striving to achieve Six Sigma quality standards. Comprehend the use of SPC and effectively apply it within the manufacturing environment.
  • Lead and conduct root cause analysis and corrective action processes as necessary.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and accountability by engaging employees at all levels in the development and resolution of quality manufacturing processes.
  • Effectively communicate the organization's vision through verbal, written, and presentation formats. Establish objectives that align with both immediate goals and the long-term Strategic Plan for Continuous Improvement.
  • Exhibit strong leadership capabilities, adept at navigating a matrix-managed environment and guiding teams in a fast-paced setting with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • This role requires access to information or hardware governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.
  • No relocation assistance is available for this position. Candidates within a specified radius will be considered.

Preferred:

  • At least one (1) year of experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Formal training or certification in Lean tools and/or Six Sigma methodologies.

Skills:
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Interaction.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events, continuous improvement practices, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of manufacturing structures, diverse processes, operational practices, and budgeting.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently.
