Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Norwalk Hospital Association. This part-time opportunity will involve working 24 hours a week, with a schedule that includes Mondays, Fridays, and every other weekend from 3:30-12.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Check requests for x-ray exams and special instructions
  • Explain procedures and x-rays to patients and obtain consent forms as needed
  • Perform visual inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions
  • Set up and operate fluoroscopy, video, and overhead machines
  • Develop skills in proper use of x-ray machines
  • Know set up for certain procedures such as myleograms, sialograms, arthrograms, Hystro, BE, GI modified BA swallows, venograms, etc.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide assistance
  • Record procedures and verify images before moving on to the next procedure
  • Check for correct charges on requests
  • Maintain ASRT Certification and CT Licensure
  • Attend staff meetings and in-services
  • Attend continuing education programs for ASRT ECE credits
Requirements
  • Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Must achieve registration within one year of graduation and Connecticut State License
  • 2 years X-Ray experience preferred
  • Connecticut Licensure in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Registered in Radiologic Technology; responsible for maintaining CE credits for ARRT and Connecticut Licensure
Work Environment

This part-time position will be based at Norwalk Hospital Association, with a schedule that includes working 24 hours a week.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $42.00 per hour, with the opportunity for additional compensation based on experience.
