Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Residential Care Specialist to join our team. As a Residential Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities, helping them to increase their functional independence and participate in meaningful activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other staff members to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Individualized Support Plans
    • Assess residents' strengths and skills to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Activity Participation and Training
    • Assist residents in identifying and participating in activities that promote functional independence and personal growth.
    • Administer assessment instruments and assist in the development of training programs for residents.
  • Basic Living Skills and Independent Living
    • Assist residents in developing and practicing basic living skills, independent living skills, vocational skills, and academic skills.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma or HSE is required, along with past employment experience in a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Computer literacy skills, including the ability to navigate and record data in performance-based software and electronic medical records systems.
    • Interpersonal oral and written communication skills to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Certifications and Background Checks
    • A valid Montana Driver's License or the ability to obtain one, and an acceptable driving record.
    • An acceptable criminal and protective services background check.
