We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Radio Communications Engineer to join our team at Eversource Energy. As a key member of our Grid Modernization team, you will play a critical role in supporting the design and implementation of wireless telecommunication systems for our electric and gas operations.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and perform engineering assignments in support of wireless telecommunication systems for Eversource.
- Design, implement, and operate wireless telecommunication systems to support Eversource's Electric and Gas operations.
- Work with and provide support for field construction and maintenance of wireless telecommunication assets/infrastructure, including digital microwave, mobile, and fixed wireless networks, paging systems, and subsystems.
- Supervise engineers responsible for configuration and specification of wireless telecom equipment/hardware.
- Troubleshoot events on the distribution system where field device communication is identified to have misoperated or impacted remote operations.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the design, implementation, and support of wireless telecommunications systems.
- Must have experience with the application of wireless telecommunications infrastructure for both voice and data applications.
- Understanding of electric and gas utility systems is strongly preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
Eversource Energy offers a competitive total rewards program, including an annual salary range of $137,000.00 to $152,000.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with experience. Check out our career site for an overview of our benefits.
Working ConditionsMust be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required. Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
