Position Overview:
As a Forensic Risk Control Specialist I, you will operate under general supervision to support Claim business partners by providing essential scientific and engineering insights related to losses, enabling informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical authority in areas such as fire science, origin and cause investigations, and failure analysis of various systems and components.
- Ensure thorough understanding of forensic investigation protocols, including documentation, evidence handling, and safety regulations.
- Travel to incident sites to collaborate with investigative teams, assisting in evidence collection, witness interviews, and scene analysis.
- Conduct research and testing, preparing comprehensive reports to aid claims and legal teams in understanding the scientific elements of cases.
- Familiarize yourself with relevant codes, industry standards, and laboratory testing protocols as necessary.
- Provide expert testimony in legal contexts, including depositions and trials.
- Develop materials to support Risk Control, Claims Services, and Underwriting functions, tailored to specific audiences.

Qualifications:
- A BA/BS in science or engineering, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- A valid driver's license is required.
