Scribe-X is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join a well-established Specialty clinic in SW Portland. We are looking for Medical Assistants who demonstrate reliability, commitment, and a passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review patient charts, assist in rooming patients, complete necessary intake forms, take vital signs, and document patient medical histories.
  • Support patient care activities by scheduling tests, providing education, and managing communication through voice-mail and written messages.
  • Ensure patient exam rooms are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition, including changing bed linens and managing bio-hazard waste.
  • Process and log prescription orders, monitor medication administration as directed by physicians.
  • Communicate diagnostic testing results to patients as directed.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and ensure medical equipment is well-maintained.
  • Familiarize yourself with office policies and clinical procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support physicians and enhance patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a physician office or clinic setting.
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
  • Current national certification as a Medical Assistant (e.g., CMA, RMA, NCMA) or scheduled exam date.
  • Current CPR certification (preferably AHA).
  • Strong communication skills and a thorough understanding of patient care protocols.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
