Vallarta Supermarkets is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a professional and comfortable environment for our customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of the bar operations, including team member training, service, and overall presentation and vibe of the dining room and inventory/order control.
- Greet all customers in a friendly manner and assist them with food and drink purchases.
- Thank customers for their patronage and maintain a clean work area, including sweeping and debris within the bar.
- Identify areas for improvement and provide insight on bar trends and identify new processes or food/drink creations.
- Recommend menu items and prices to remain competitive and work with senior management to identify career growth for staff and management.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, policies, and procedures.
- 3+ years of bartending experience and 2+ years of bar management experience.
- Review inventory and purchases against sales and manage staff schedules to align with sales.
- Provide and apply the open door policy to keep communication open for all levels of employees and management.
- Work with store and senior management to ensure policies and programs are efficiently and effectively working.
- All other job duties assigned.
- Must be able to test alcoholic drinks for quality and flavor.
- Standing for long periods of time to operate the bar and registers as needed.
- Mixing drinks and preparing food.
- Lift and carry 20+ lbs.
- Bus tables and ensure dining area is clear and cleaned consistently.
- Will travel between store locations to support Sayulita Bars.
- Travel to corporate meetings and stores as needed.
- Use Microsoft suite of applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Climb ladders to retrieve product on top shelf/produce cooler.
