Position Overview:
As an Automation Systems Specialist, you will be instrumental in the development of control systems that effectively manage machinery and processes.

Your role will involve the application of various technologies including instrumentation, control valves, motors/VFDs, and the configuration of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to create automation solutions tailored to user specifications while ensuring optimal design efficiency.

Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Operations Director

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to:
- Configuration of PLC and/or DCS systems
- Organizing project data into structured spreadsheets and databases
- Development of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) graphics and SCADA systems
- Configuration of data historians
- Conducting I/O checks on installed control systems and documenting results
- Providing post-commissioning support to operational, engineering, and maintenance teams
- Traveling to client sites as necessary

Qualifications:
Required:
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related fields), Computer Science, or a comparable technical discipline

Preferred:
- Internship or co-op experience in an industrial setting
- Familiarity with basic AC and DC electrical circuits
- Understanding of computer programming principles
