Therapy Radiation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. As a Radiation Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care and contribute to the success of our radiation oncology department.
About the PositionThis role involves working under the general supervision of the Chief Radiation Therapist to provide radiotherapy treatments as prescribed by physicians to adult and pediatric populations. You will be responsible for operating various conventional treatment machines, preparing patients for treatment, and monitoring their safety during treatment sessions.
Essential Responsibilities- Operate a variety of conventional treatment machines to deliver prescribed treatment dose
- Prepare and educate patients for radiotherapy; administer conventional radiotherapy treatment and monitor patient separation from conventional treatment machine
- Prepare treatment room and fabricate immobilization/treatment devices
- Coordinate patient scheduling and retrieval of patient records
- Assure radiation safety measures for patients and personnel
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Please note that this position requires licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board upon hire and passage of the registry exam as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) upon hire.
