**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Construction Inspector to join our team at Wade Trim Group, Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct thorough field inspections to verify contract requirements and ensure compliance with MDOT and MDOT Local Agency Program regulations.
  • Prepare and review Inspector's Daily Reports in FieldManager/Book, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of construction progress.
  • Organize and maintain construction documentation, including plans, specifications, and other relevant materials.
  • Act as the on-site liaison with clients and community stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and communication.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with on-site construction contractors, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of project plans and specifications, identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist the Project Manager in ensuring contract requirements are met, and provide support with contract administration.
  • Prepare and submit forms and other paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Attend seminars and training courses to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma required; degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in construction inspection, preferably with MDOT or MDOT Local Agency Program.
  • Valid driver's license and a thorough understanding of MDOT-let contract requirements.
  • SESC/Storm Water Operator, Concrete, and Density testing certification preferred.
