Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Pleasanton, CA

Work Arrangement: 100% onsite

Contract Duration: 6 months

The ideal candidate will exhibit a keen attention to detail while supporting projects related to standard costing administration. While experience in manufacturing is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. Proficiency in SAP is essential.

In the Heart Failure division, we are at the forefront of enhancing treatments for heart and vascular conditions through innovative medical technologies, enabling individuals to regain their health and continue their lives.

Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will deliver financial planning, analysis, and reporting to management for the Heart Failure (HF) business unit. This role involves analyzing and reviewing operational results, assisting with monthly financial closing tasks, and preparing financial models, ad hoc analyses, and presentations that support the quarterly LBE (latest best estimate) forecasting cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular financial planning and analysis for the HF business unit, which may encompass budgeting, forecasting, monthly variance analysis, business development, gross margin, capital, headcount, and other operating expense aspects of the P&L.
  • Engage in ad hoc analyses, project consolidation, and reporting as directed by finance management.
  • Generate routine reports for key stakeholders utilizing knowledge of finance systems and the HF operating expense forecast.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consolidate month-end analyses and commentary pertinent to the financial closing cycle.
  • Prepare consolidated reports, presentations, and analyses for quarterly LBE cycles.
  • Foster positive and cooperative communication and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; strong proficiency in relevant financial systems applications is required. SAP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Capability to work effectively both as part of a team and as an individual contributor in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to leverage and engage others to achieve project goals.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to effectively convey information at various organizational levels.
